The Écrin Nature campsite is located in the heart of an environment conducive to outdoor activities. The Limousin and its forests invite you to go for a walk or a ride on 2 wheels!
Base VTT-FFC des Monts d’Ambazac et Val Taurion
It is located at the entrance to the campsite, with a development area accessible to everyone, and offers a wide variety of circuits up to 700 meters altitude, with paths for the whole family and steeper, steeper trails.
Cycling for all levels!
This VTT-FFCC area is managed by the Ambazac Sprinter Club mountain bike school.
Every year, he organizes the “Granit’Montana” (Raid Marathon VTT).
You can put on your foot wedges and set off directly from the campsite to discover the various circuits, marked out according to difficulty.
The space is organized around the 7 communes of the communauté de communes: Ambazac, Jabreilles-les-Bordes, La Jonchère-St-Maurice, Les Billanges, St Laurent-les-Églises, St Priest Taurion and St Sylvestre.
In the communauté de communes des Monts d’Ambazac et Val du Taurion, you can take advantage of 405 kms of marked trails on 19 circuits:
- 2 main mountain bike bases: plan d’eau de Jonas in Ambazac (chalet located just inside the parking lot in front of the L’Écrin Nature campsite) and Les Bordes in Jabreilles-les-Bordes.
- 5 other departures: Les Billanges, St Priest-Taurion, St Laurent-les-Églises, La Jonchère-St-Maurice and St Sylvestre.
The “travel plan” for the mountain bike base is available at the campsite reception and at the Monts du Limousin tourist office in Ambazac.
Singletracks – Bike Park
The Singletracks Bike Park is 8 km from L’Écrin Nature campsite in La Jonchère-St-Maurice.
Straddling three communes, it is aimed at beginners and experienced mountain bikers from all over France. With a vertical drop of 300 metres and a surface area of 150 hectares, it’s possible to hurtle down 16 trails and enjoy the PumpTrack.
